Clareon is a legal-technology company based in Bethesda, Maryland, founded by class action lawyers. The clareon.ai database is built and maintained by Clareon's AI pipeline — every settlement read, coded, and indexed by machine learning. The Comparable Case Report, the Quarterly Briefing, the Intelligence & Analytics suite, and the free Clareon Weekly are all generated from that database.
Clareon was started because the people who live inside class action practice — plaintiff and defense counsel, mediators, in-house teams, claims administrators — didn't have a resource they could actually rely on. They had news feeds, press releases, and their own spreadsheets.
We built Clareon as the legal-technology platform the market deserves: a proprietary database (clareon.ai) read and coded entirely by AI, tied to a report suite generated from the same record. Every figure traceable, every report reproducible. Trusted by litigators nationwide.
Clareon's founders bring decades of class action practice. The clareon.ai database and every Clareon report are produced by our proprietary AI pipeline — no analyst team, no contractors, no crawler.

MACHINE LEARNING · DOCKET INGESTION · CODING
Our proprietary pipeline ingests court filings, extracts every structured field, and codes each settlement against the clareon.ai schema — class counsel, defense counsel, mediator, judge, claims administrator, fund, fee, methodology, timeline, and more. The same pipeline generates every Clareon report and every Comparable Case Report on demand.
Our standards are the reason subscribers bring Clareon into mediations, fee petitions, and partner meetings. Every Clareon Intelligence, Analytics, and Comparable Case Report states its scope, methodology, and source data up front, and carries a Clareon report number and authentication code.
Every entry starts with the court filing. We don't ingest press releases or secondary coverage. If a fact didn't appear in a filing, order, or docket entry, it doesn't go in clareon.ai.
Clareon's machine learning pipeline reads every court filing and extracts each structured field — captions, parties, counsel, mediator, judge, fund, fee, class size, methodology, timeline. Each output is validated against the clareon.ai schema before it lands in the record.
The Class Counsel Rankings, Mediator Scorecard, and Defense Counsel Intelligence reports use published, weighted composite methodologies — e.g., the Rankings' 35% settlement credit / 35% fee credit / 20% attorney count / 10% case diversity formula. Methodology is disclosed in every report.
Every figure in a Clareon report links back to indexed settlement(s) in clareon.ai. Subscribers can click through from any benchmark in any report to the raw comparables behind it.
Every Clareon Intelligence, Analytics, and Comparable Case Report carries a unique Clareon report number and authentication code. If it's challenged in mediation or in court, the record is defensible.
When a ruling is modified on appeal, a fee is revised, or new information comes out, the AI pipeline updates clareon.ai and the change appears in the next Weekly. Corrections live with the record.
Clareon is read and used by the practitioners who file, settle, and administer the cases coded inside clareon.ai.
At Mason & Perry, Clareon is the first place we go for comparables. We use it for mediation prep, fee petitions, and venue strategy — and the Comparable Case Report is the only valuation tool built on the actual record of how these cases actually settle.
